Launched in 2014, Nantes Digital Week is a festival dedicated to digital culture that brings together all stakeholders in the region. Conferences, exhibitions, tours, roundtables… Over the course of 10 days, more than 100 events are offered to the general public and professionals.
Building on the success of the first seven editions held since 2019 as part of Nantes Digital Week—which brought together nearly 400 participants, including academics, researchers, industry representatives, institutional representatives, and citizens—we made a commitment to hold this event annually from now on. This event has now become a must-attend for professionals, academics, and citizens to come together to stay informed about the latest news and developments, exchange ideas, and launch new projects.
This event is organized by the cross-disciplinary “Digital Cultures” theme of the LS2N laboratory in partnership with the Centre François Viète laboratory; the collaboration between these two laboratories for over 15 years on the topic of digital heritage has made them a key player in the Nantes region and nationwide, demonstrating that interdisciplinarity is possible.
It is coordinated by Florent Laroche, an associate professor at Centrale Nantes and a member of the Design, Control, Monitoring, and Supervision of Systems team at the Laboratory of Digital Sciences of Nantes (LS2N).
The goal of this event is to explore, through cross-disciplinary, multi-professional—and thus truly interdisciplinary—approaches, digital technology as a unifying force for initiatives aimed at capturing, structuring, and disseminating our knowledge.
