The SCI-TY programme is one of the projects selected in the French National Research Agency (ANR)'s "Pre-maturity - Maturity" call for projects, as part of the France 2030 programme, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality.
The aim of this call for projects is to develop and strengthen support for the creation of innovative products and services for sustainable cities and mobility, in order to accelerate the transformation of our economy.
The pre-maturity part of the project is being led by Gustave Eiffel University, while the maturity part is being led by Erganeo, a French technology transfer company specialising in disruptive innovations (Deep Tech) with a strong societal impact.
The SCI-TY programme is focused on two major national acceleration strategies:
The 3rd wave of calls for pre-maturity projects took place at Centrale Nantes for the Nantes site. In the second wave, two Centrale Nantes projects had already been selected.
The day's programme included a visit to the Incubator with a presentation of the Night Observatory in the morning, followed by a pre-maturity committee meeting in the afternoon, during which the projects applying for the Call for Projects were presented. The Night Observatory (Observatoire de la Nuit) is a design office specialising in lighting sobriety. It works to consolidate and ensure the coherence of energy, environmental and societal transitions by debating the relationship between lighting and darkness.
