Rana Al Nemer wins the Best Poster Award during the ALERT Geomaterials 2023 workshop
Rana Al Nemer, postdoctoral researcher at the GeM in the Environmental Geomechanics Research Group, received the Best Poster Award at the ALERT Geomaterials workshop held in Aussois from 25-27 September 2023, for her poster titled “Multiphase Flow through a Granular Material under Hydro-Mechanical Loading.”

Rana’s research work includes (i) quantifying the in-situ deformation of a granular medium by an unstable biphasic flow under various hydro-mechanical loadings using digital image correlation and (ii) characterizing the interface separating the drained zone from the saturated zone in terms of morphological and physical properties.
