Centrale Nantes - partner of Ouest Industries Créatives

A Research, Training & Innovation programme for creative industries in the Pays de la Loire region

Ouest Industries Créatives is a collective regional initiative aiming to become, by 2020, a centre of excellence in research, training and innovation on the transformation of creative industries in the Pays de la Loire region.

Ouest Industries Créatives was launched in November 2015. It is led by the University of Nantes and co-run with the Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique, in partnership with 13 regional players in research, training and innovation, including Centrale Nantes. It receives backing from the Pays de la Loire and the European Regional Development Fund.

This interdisciplinary programme places creative disciplines (art, design, architecture) at the intersection between human and social sciences and digital sciences and engineering. In addition to supporting transformation within creative industries (uses, tools and economy), it also mobilizes creative disciplines to innovate in other economic sectors. It aims to address contemporary transdisciplinary challenges such as the smart city or future healthcare.
