Oleksii Holubnychyi will visit the Signal, Image and Sound team at the Laboratory of Digital Sciences of Nantes (LS2N), at the invitation of Jérôme Idier, research director at Centrale Nantes.
His visit to Centrale Nantes will facilitate the development of a collaborative project on the use of Gaussian and non-Gaussian statistical mixture models in data science. Non-Gaussian models, in particular, underpin algorithms that are robust to outliers. The targeted applications include communication systems, navigation systems, and air traffic management systems. He will also lead a seminar presenting research in data science and digital communications at the National Aviation Institute in Kyiv, aimed at doctoral students and engineering students.
